What are the best ways for a beginner to learn about cryptocurrency?  The 5 best ways beginners can learn about cryptocurrency are  Social Media, Online Courses, Blogs, Formal Training, and In Person Training.

One of my biggest questions as I was first getting started with cryptocurrency was "Where are the best, most trustworthy, sources that I can learn about cryptocurrency?"  Now that I have been involved with cryptocurrency for a couple years, I thought it would be helpful to give you a list of the best learning resources.
Read, Listen, Associate

One of my early business mentors taught me that there are three ways to learn new things.  Reading, Listening, and Associating.

Reading books and blog articles in your field of study starts to help you learn concepts and principles.

Listening to audio training or videos helps you gain new ideas.

Associating with like-minded people allows you to ask new questions and challenge your existing thought patterns.

The following list is the best ways I have found to do this within the cryptocurrency field.  In general, the cryptocurrency space is still small and it can be difficult to find trustworthy information.  I hope this list helps you navigate the fast changing landscape of cryptocurrency.
My Favorite Blogs:

Toshi Times:  This is a great blog for current events in cryptocurrency and blockchain news.  I have this saved to my desktop and check it almost daily.

Coin Central:   They have a lot of great beginner guides and daily articles to help you improve your knowledge.

Coin Desk:  Is one of the best known cryptocurrency blogs out there.  They have tons of investment resources, news articles, technology updates and upcoming events.

99Bitcoins:  This blog has lots of great product reviews and blog articles that are simple to understand for a beginner.
My Favorite Social Media Influencers

Youtube

Ivan On Tech:  Provides excellent insight about the inner workings of blockchain coding.  Ivan is great at making complex topics simple for the average person to understand.

Boxmining:  Michael has consistent updates, provides great interviews from crypto conferences all around the world and provides interesting insights.

Data Dash:  Has consistently produced quality cryptocurrency market updates since mid 2017.  Most of his content relates to trading cryptocurrency and he analyzes strategies and trends that are happening in the industry.

Crypto Daily:  Provides funny videos with excellent editing and high quality content.

Coin Mastery:  Teaches a technical approach to trading cryptocurrency.
My Favorite Online Courses / Apps:

Ivan On Tech Academy:  I have personally purchased and used this course to learn some of the basics of coding.  This program brings you from beginner level programmer and walks you all the way through being able to develop blockchain on the several different platforms.  Easy step by step guidance with the ability to ask questions when necessary.  Click Here for Discount Code: $1 For The First Month!!!

Mimo:  This is a fun and easy to use app that is inexpensive.  It is a great way to learn the basics of blockchain, programming, game building, web design and more.
My Favorite In Person / Meet Ups / Seminars:

In Person:  Networking is vitally important.  I have a few friends who are following cryptocurrency very closely and we regularly compare notes or brainstorm ideas.  Cryptocurrency is so new of an industry that it may be challenging for you to find people who share your enthusiasm.  Be sure to join forums where you can interact with people all over the world.  I generally use Quora to ask questions and hear other peoples.

Meetups:  One of the best things you can do is attend local meetups.  Many universities have cryptocurrency or blockchain clubs that you may be able to attend.  If you are in an area that has cryptocurrency meetups make sure to attend them.  If there are no meetups in your area you can consider hosting one.

Seminars:  Keep an eye out for seminars, and don't be afraid to travel or invest a little bit of money to attend these kinds of event.  Gain insight from the top professionals and learn how to apply it in your own life.

You may also be able to find online seminars that will be helpful as well.  The best investment is in your own knowledge and the relationships you will develop along the way.

Formal Training & Universities:

Since 2017, the need for programmers, blockchain developers, and cryptography have exploded.  These are among the highest paid jobs listed and are highly sought after.  Major Universities are scrambling to offer these types of courses for their students.  I have not taken any formal education courses, however a quick google search will help you find school that are offering these types of courses.

Conclusion:  There are obviously several ways to learn about cryptocurrency, and depending on what you are trying to accomplish with your education will help you determine how you should proceed with your learning.  This is an exciting new industry and there is plenty to learn along the way.  The most important thing is to just get started and consistently start learning everyday.
